About this course

Welcome to The Magic of Drawing V: Making Peace with Reality

Explore how drawing can help you accept, understand, and make peace with your personal and external reality. The Magic of Drawing V is designed to guide you through a reflective and transformative journey using drawing as a tool for self-awareness, acceptance, and emotional healing. This course will teach you how to draw what you see, trace your emotions, and ultimately, draw your life to make peace with the present moment.

Course Overview

This course is divided into three two hours sessions, each designed to help you connect with your reality through drawing—tracing the world around you, capturing what you observe, and expressing your life story through art.

  • Session 1: Tracing a Drawing

In this session, you’ll start with the basics—tracing. Tracing allows you to focus on details without the pressure of creating something new. By tracing existing lines and shapes, you’ll develop a deeper sense of calm and mindfulness, helping you slow down and focus on the present moment. This exercise encourages you to accept what is in front of you without judgment, providing a foundation for emotional balance and clarity.

  • Session 2: Drawing What You See

Here, you will practice drawing exactly what you see. This session focuses on observation and acceptance, training you to capture the world as it is. Drawing what you observe teaches you to let go of preconceived notions and expectations, fostering a mindset of acceptance and peace. You’ll learn how to use drawing as a tool to engage with reality and appreciate the beauty in the simplicity of everyday life.

  • Session 3: Drawing Out Your Life

In this deeply personal session, you’ll draw out the story of your life. This exercise allows you to reflect on your experiences, emotions, and personal journey through visual representation. By visually mapping your life’s path, you’ll gain new perspectives on your past, present, and future, creating a sense of resolution and peace with your reality. This session is about using art to express and come to terms with the complexities of your life story.
